The political rivalry between the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and actor-turned-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has intensified, with DMK MP Kanimozhi launching a sharp attack on the newly formed party. Her remarks, describing TVK as a “washing machine that can even remove gutka stains,” have triggered a fresh political debate in the state.
Addressing a public gathering, Kanimozhi alleged that several individuals who had previously faced controversies and allegations were now joining TVK. She claimed that the party appeared to be offering them a platform to rebuild their public image, comparing it to a “washing machine” that cleans away political baggage.
